Name: Anne Dorman Age: 71    Occupation: Retired Date of joining Uppermill: 1999 Previous Bands: Newton Heath, British Aerospace Most Memorable Banding Moments: Coming second to Elgar Howarth in the Alexander Owen Memorial Scholarship when I was 12 Playing under Eric Ball with the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain Most Embarrassing Banding Moment: Playing on Blow by Blow, Radio Manchester - I blew the water out of my cornet and it caused a vacuum in the instrument. I had 2 bars solo in Jesus Christ Superstar, nobody else was playing, so there was 2 bars of silence!! But fortunately, we still won!
